Below is a listing and respective descriptions of the Leadership Greater Syracuse (LGS) Committees. Please note that in addition to the responsibilities listed, each Committee is responsible for making periodic reports to the LGS Board of Directors and may be requested to fulfill other responsibilities, as delegated by the LGS Board of Directors. Finance & Investment Committee – Stephen J. Siano, Treasurer/Chair
The Finance & Investment Committee’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare annual operating budgets;
• Oversee/monitor financial activities of LGS;
• Establish an Investment Policy; and
• Oversee Investment Account activity.
Development/Fundraising Committee – William Sanford, Chair
The Development/Fundraising Committee’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Plan and implement fundraising programs, events and activities to support LGS programs and operations; and
• Oversee grant writing proposals to support LGS programs and operations.
Alumni Committee –Miesje Havens & Kate Nagle, Co-Chairs
The Alumni Committee’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Facilitate communications, networking with and among LGS Alumni (e.g., newsletter, directory, web page and surveys);
• Plan and implement educational programs for LGS alumni;
• Plan and implement social programs for LGS alumni; and
• Plan and implement alumni contributions campaign and annual fundraising events.
Governance/Nominating Committee – David Duerr & Kimberly Zimmer, Co-Chairs
The Governance/Nominating Committee’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Recruit new Board Members for election;
• Recommend slate of officers for election; and
• Develop and oversee Board Member orientation.
LGS Adult Committee – Charlene Bozzi and Gregory Rogers, Co-Chairs
The LGS Committee’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee class recruitment and selection processes;
• Monitor program quality and participant feedback; and
• Develop and implement post-program, placement of class members.
Marketing & Communications Committee –
Mary Eisert-Lamacchia and Nick Cerro, Co-Chairs
The Marketing & Communications Committee’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Create a consistent, targeted message to be delivered to various LGS audiences;
• Oversee all marketing and communication related materials for LGS and Alumni programs (including website, newsletter and brochures); and
• Create exposure/media opportunities for the organization and its programs.
